Internships and Career Development

Taking what you learn in the classroom and putting it to work in the real world has a multitude of benefits. It helps you build confidence, get real feedback from people in the field you’re interested in, and make connections for when you’re ready to enter the workforce. You may even discover a new area of focus for your studies that you’re passionate about!

WLC’s Office of Career and Professional Development helps students connect their talents and skills to a fulfilling career path. Our team helps students find appropriate internships for their major, offers professional development and learning opportunities, and connects them with full or part-time job opportunities.

We’re committed to bridging the gap between your college education and career, and making sure you have the skills you need to succeed from day one.

Internships

Internships are an excellent method for students to gain valuable experience that will further develop their interests, skills, and career goals. Along the way you'll learn more about various career options, apply classroom theory to a professional work setting, and build your professional network.

The WLC Internship Program

The WLC Internship Program consists of temporary professional employment coinciding with academic work. All participating employers meet WLC's program guidelines, and all participating students are in good academic standing with a declared major.
